What a brave move to scan your film photos! :O

The photo doesn’t say if you tried the experience described... ;)

I would’ve loved to make a travel journal with my memories, but way too much would’ve been censored :)

A little gift, having finally scanned some of my old photos. Nearly 30 years ago, during a long road trip after a rachacha brew. No need to specify the place...😎



This is an image I would’ve loved to see in the contest! Just like that. As a postcard with the frame 😉

I honestly thought someone else among the participants would’ve suggested this ultra-classic. That said, my goal is more to take part than to win.

Yep, back then, one fine day I thought getting my film developed with that white border would be a great idea. And sure enough, it really made the photos stand out.

Sir, Thank you so much for this photo. We might have crossed paths; in 1995, I visited Mali for the first time. Of course, that included a trip on the Niger River, from Gao to Mopti, with a detour of several days to Timbuktu. Unforgettable... hgb

From what I recall, it was in 1996 and then again in 1997. I took this photo in Morocco, south of Ouarzazate if I remember correctly. I already knew about it from my reading (newspaper article, *Guide du Routard*?)

And indeed, it really showcased the photos well.

Sorry, I wasn’t paying much attention. Yes, that sign is really famous and you’ll see it in lots of publications. It’s definitely part of the Timbuktu myth. hgb
