June 2026 Theme Thread: Such a Beautiful Landscape (page 5 of 8)

I prefer the vastness of the ocean, the harmonious greens of a rice field,

Looking forward to a little photo of Bali’s rice terraces! !😉

Hi everyone,

I’m back on the photo contest forum after a few years away.... I don’t travel much anymore, but I still check out VF, especially the photo contest section. I don’t enter the contest anymore because I got tired of looking at the same photos in my albums...

And then, well... If the "landscape" theme might seem ordinary, it actually brings out photos that have never been shared here before. Not ordinary at all, really. Thanks Philippebrg! !

Hello from my neck of the woods: South Finistère, La Torche, in winter

In any case, the photos in this thread are just as beautiful—if not more so—than those in the contest. No matter the continent, the landscapes are stunning!

Hello, Glad at least one person enjoyed it. 😉

Yes, Marie, I also find some great photos in this discussion. It’s even sometimes hard to choose the 3 photos for the contest. Subjectivity comes into play!

Tuscan landscapes...🙂 (under glorious sunshine, as you can see 🤪)

So many stunning photos, one more breathtaking than the next—just from this thread!

On the other hand (not trying to revive an old debate), it’s interesting to see how "landscape" is often linked to "mountains." The vast majority of the photos reflect that.

I’d say the idea of a landscape can be understood through different levels of depth and relief. The seaside is often flat, but that doesn’t make it any less beautiful—we could totally do a photo contest theme on coastal scenes! 🙂

These are really stunning.

Khao Lom Muak in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, Thailand. So proud I climbed it a few years ago. It’s not that easy to scale—some sections require roping up with help from the military. But what a reward at the top! You might also spot the langur monkeys that live on this hill.

Southern Corsica landscapes:

- The cliffs of Bonifacio...
