So, my Greece:

A stony path in the early morning.

A square, a plane tree, little taverns. Normally bustling with people, except in 2011, when this photo was taken (the troika was at Greece’s bedside )



White, blue, soft shadows. Order a coffee, or an ouzo with its meze. Read for hours.

Cats. Greeks call them *adespostes*—what the French call strays. They belong to no one, are fed by everyone. They’re philosophers.
