Hi, Actually, the Savonito brothers, the founders, sold the place in 2023. I went back in September '23, and the vibe was totally different.

PS: I just checked the website, and the rates for half-board rooms aren’t the same anymore either

I stopped by Borj Biramane a few years ago and really didn’t like it. Indifferent welcome, dusty bungalow room....

I never got that impression until the establishment changed hands. I discovered the place 1 or 2 years after it opened and kept coming back regularly. Every time, the two brothers (or one of them) were there. The welcome was professional and the place spotless. I went back once since the change of ownership and felt the same thing as you.

I couldn’t tell you if the owners were there or not—we didn’t stay. But it was packed, maybe a group. We really didn’t like it at all. And yet, we’d read such great reviews, which is what brought us there in the first place...

It’s a beautiful region to explore, with vast open spaces. It’s a bit remote from everything—that’s what gives it its charm. But for accommodations, it’s not great.

In March, you shouldn't be cold... but personally, I never leave without a fleece jacket, no matter where I go... I hate being cold.

For years, I’ve only visited Morocco between November and March. This is the first time I’m roasting this much in my little VW.

What area are you in? Good luck to you. I’d tell you to come to my place, but we’re freezing too. You can’t just get invited to someone’s place to warm up. Just one more week and it’ll get better. I’m waiting for 11 degrees impatiently lol. If you can get near a big city, head to Decathlon to buy some warm technical clothes. Take care of yourself anyway

I’m realizing I’m not twenty anymore!! Plus, I’m also seeing that my cardio-respiratory arrest last August really weakened me!! Even though I was resuscitated after 10 minutes and given CPR for 6 minutes, I made it—but with fewer bullets left in the chamber!!

The cold this year is no joke!
