Off to explore Namibia!

I was surprised to see you ran into so few other travelers. I thought Namibia was a much more touristy destination....
Namibia has actually become very touristy. Too much so in some places and at certain times.
But since most people only go to Sesriem and Etosha, most of the country remains quiet.
And as soon as the driving gets a bit tough, there's no one around...
Might as well rent a 4x4 just to stay on tracks you could drive with a Twingo.
I hadn’t run into many people either in early April. Even fewer in January (though you’ve got to handle the extreme heat...). In August, there were clearly more visitors (in the usual spots).

Thanks Franck for this awesome travel journal. We had a great laugh and discovered some amazing landscapes and places that aren’t often mentioned.

Regarding the 4x4 rental, it also lets you put 2 tents on the roof.
That must be way more complicated in a Twingo...😏

A huge thank you, Franck, for this amazing Namibian travel journal that once again blew us away.
For logistics, did you buy a mattress at the mall when you arrived???
Can't wait to read the Chinese travel journal, but in the meantime, we're kicking off with La Réunion.

Thanks Franck for this travel journal—it’s always such a pleasure to read.
Since I can’t jet off to the other side of the world 36 times a year, I do it through your travel journals (among others). It’s not bad either ;).

Zambia is interesting in terms of daily life, and Lake Kariba and Victoria Falls are impressive. For the rest, it's more of a dull landscape.
Of the Zambian parks (excluding Victoria Falls), I’ve only been to South Luangwa... and I really loved its varied landscapes (and definitely not a "dull landscape" 😉).

Nope, we came with our own camping gear!
We're wrapping up Uzbekistan, tackling Réunion next, and I can even start on Egypt if anyone's interested... before diving into China!

I’ll try again to get you to travel with us!
36 times a year... it’ll be our turn soon! Just three and a half years to go before the big departure! 😉

A round-the-world trip???
Yep! A round-the-world trip with no return date! 20... 25 years... until my body says no more...

A huge thanks to Frank for this road trip—another one that really made me dream... I love Namibia 😊, but like Bruno, not in the trunk of the car, even if we did try it once in Oman—it’s not really our thing 😅.
Like Agnès, I wouldn’t recommend Botswana (we just got back yesterday). The landscapes are very flat, not very varied, and you might not find what you’re looking for. On the other hand, there’s hardly anyone around 👍.

Should I assume Botswana disappointed you?
In Southern Africa, I think South Africa will be our next pick...

We didn’t go to Botswana for the landscapes but for the wildlife—our expectations are a little different 😅.
In South Africa, you’re going to love the scenery 😊.

I don’t know when we’ll go yet. One thing’s for sure—it won’t be next year...
