Albania by camper van in September-October

Hi there, In September/October 2018, we toured Albania with a quick detour into Macedonia and another into northern Greece (Lefkada Island, the Zagoria region, and Vikos Gorge) in our fitted-out van. First, the drive to Albania (crossing France, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, and Montenegro), then Shkodër and Valbona, Lake Koman, Krujë and Elbasan, Lake Ohrid, the thermal springs of Përmet, Gjirokastër, Ksamil and Butrint, the Albanian Riviera, Zvërnec, Berat, Karavasta, and back via Venice. Hi Anne, even though your post is from 5 years ago, I hope you don’t mind me asking a question about Lake Koman. We’re heading to that area soon with our 5.41m Fiat Ducato camper van, and since we’re coming from Montenegro via Shkodër, we’re wondering what’s best: should we drive our vehicle along the SH25 and visit the lake as pedestrians for the day, or should we take the camper van near the ferry dock, sleep there, and board in the morning while leaving the van on-site? Or maybe take a taxi or public transport early in the morning and leave our vehicle in Shkodër?
