Hi, I’ve also done it twice with Costa—on the Firenze (no longer in their fleet) and the Pacifica.

Good evening and thank you for your reply. We’re leaving on November 2nd on the Costa Diadema, with stops in Cadiz and Lanzarote, among others. For these two stops, we’ve booked Costa’s excursions for peace of mind—especially for the return trip! Cadiz: a self-guided excursion to Seville, where we bought a cathedral entry ticket online for 11 AM. We don’t know the departure time of the bus from Cadiz. Lanzarote: a full-day island tour. What do you think? Is this a good plan? As for Madeira: we’d like to visit the gardens. For the trip up, we’ll take the cable car… but for the way down, is it possible to take a bus to Funchal? Best regards, Jibé

Good evening, In Cádiz, we were docked at 10 AM, and the "Seville at Leisure" excursion (only one, code 0540, in English) left at 10:45 AM. In Arrecife, I had already done the excursion to Timanfaya National Park in 2016. What was unique was the camel ride, but I think it was discontinued after COVID. Still, it’s a great way to discover the island if you’re not familiar with Lanzarote. In Funchal, we did the descent with the *cestinhos* (wicker toboggans). I think there were taxis, but I didn’t see any buses at the exit of the Monte Palace Gardens. Be careful—there’s often a huge line for the cable car. Best regards

Hi there, The Diadema should arrive in Cádiz at 8 AM. If the schedule is kept, leaving by bus at 8:45 AM should work for the cathedral at 11 AM.

We went to Madeira a few years ago, and there was a bus to go back down from the gardens. If that’s not the case, we’ll take a taxi to the port. At the cable car, there was no queue—it was in December!

We’ve never been to Lanzarote, and I think it’ll be a great discovery, with the north-to-south excursion. Have a great day! Best regards,

Hi there, If the bus leaves on time, you should be at the cathedral before 11 AM. We took 1 hour and 40 minutes to reach Seville. Best regards

Hi Josiane, Yes, there are buses to go back down from the gardens (buses 20, 21, 22), but I understood that none of them go via Funchal port, so we took a taxi back (15 €). Best regards

Lanzarote is really nice, and if you do the grand tour, you'll love the varied landscapes.

Hi, and thanks Alex for the Funchal bus tips—I’ve noted them. We’ll probably take a taxi back to the port. Best regards,

Hi there, We’ll be on the same ship at the same time! We could meet up on board to chat and maybe even organize some outings together. We’ve booked four Costa excursions: Finalborgo, the white villages of Andalusia, Arrecife, and Las Palmas. For the other stops, we’re planning to visit the Picasso Museum in Malaga, find a taxi in Fuerteventura, and take the cable car in Santa Cruz. Best regards,
