Transport from Battambang to Chanthaburi via the Ban Pakkad border crossing

We (5 adults and 1 child) want to travel from Battambang to Chanthaburi via the Ban Pakkad border crossing. I’d like to know what transport options are available (bus, taxi, songthaew). Are there any direct buses from Battambang to Pailin (I haven’t found any) or from the Thai border to Chanthaburi? If you know of any taxi companies that might cover these routes, I’d really appreciate the info.

Hi, just search online for "distance from Battambang to Chanthaburi". There are sites like Rome2Rio or others that’ll give you the distance, travel time, and—usefully—an estimated cost.

What’s great about taxis is that for longer distances, they switch from the meter to a flat rate, which is more budget-friendly—just make sure to shop around so you don’t end up paying double.

From what I’ve seen, there are buses or minivans from Pailin to Chanthaburi. Be prepared for potential waiting time at the border for formalities and visa processing.

I don’t have firsthand info on this, but since no one’s replied yet, I figured I’d chip in with what I could find.

I checked on "Rome2rio" but didn’t find anything convincing. I think we’ll arrange a taxi through our hotel—it should be simpler.
