Looking for a good dental implant clinic during a stay in Morocco

Hi there, I’m looking for THE right clinic to get dental implants during my stay in Morocco. I’ve seen some posts on this forum, but they’re over 6 years old. If anyone can share their experiences (good or bad, and location), that would be great. Thanks in advance

Yeah, and if there’s a problem, it’s right next door... 😏 You can’t joke around with implants—only serious practitioners do serious work. The rest are just in it for the money, and they’ll give you a quote with € signs in their eyes... Even in France, there are tons of shady folks who’ve jumped into this business, so be careful when choosing a practitioner.

Hi, This implant story reminds me of old memories... I was hiking in the mountains near Khénifra in the Middle Atlas (it was October 1975). A molar was really bothering me. By chance, I came across a village where there was a weekly open-air souk. Walking behind a row of donkeys and mules, I was suddenly drawn to a scene that’s still etched in my memory: Off to the side, I saw a local "dentist" pulling a tooth from a local farmer with a large pair of pliers, and the patient didn’t seem to be in pain—at least, he wasn’t complaining. At the dentist’s feet was a tin box containing a brownish liquid with a few plants floating in it—that was the anesthetic. A piece of cloth, which had clearly been used many times before, was spread out on the ground—or rather, in the mud, since it had rained heavily the day before. On it lay about twenty extracted teeth, some still bloody. Solid proof of the famous dentist’s skill. I didn’t take photos back then, but looking back, I imagine the scene would’ve been worth a little souvenir snapshot. When I mentioned my painful molar, the "dentist" offered to pull it right then and there... He assured me I wouldn’t feel a thing, and on top of that, the price he quoted was more than reasonable...

I hesitated, making an excuse that with an aspirin, the procedure could wait... I have no idea how things are these days when it comes to implants. No doubt there’s been progress in dental surgery, but those old memories wouldn’t exactly encourage me to get operated on there. 😉

The kind of encounters that make you put your pain into perspective, in the end 🙁 I love the story! As for the question, it reminded me of my stay in Istanbul, with all those shaved heads, bloodied and wrapped in a clinic-branded headband (hair transplant this time) that you could see on the streets...

Hi everyone, it feels so good to see you all again on the site. Your story reminds me of mine back in 1983 in Srinagar, India. I had an unbearable toothache, and someone pointed me to a dentist. I walked past about twenty people waiting. The privilege of dollars over rupees. I sat in the chair, and to my left on the floor was a big basin with all the bloody spit from the previous patients. In front of me, tools boiling in steam. The lighting was like a cave. I trusted him—had to, if I wanted to continue the five months of travel I had left. Never had any issues with that tooth afterward. That basin is etched in my memory.😏
