Accommodation ideas in Flic en Flac, Mauritius for April 2025

Hi there, We’re rediscovering the island in early April, 20 years later, with our three teenage kids. We’re looking for a nice place to stay that’s budget-friendly—ideally with a pool, very close to the beach, and three bedrooms since our oldest will be studying for her baccalaureate exams and might stay at the residence from time to time. Oh, and just to mention... unfortunately, a hotel for five is way out of our budget.

Hi there, There are plenty of residences and apartments for rent in Flic en Flac, especially at this time of year (it's the end of the Austral summer, and many French retirees have headed back to France!). Personally, we spend the winter at Résidence des Orchidées. You’ll also find quite a few Airbnbs. Almost all the residences have a pool, and if you choose to stay in the village center, you’ll be just a stone’s throw from one of Mauritius’ largest shaded beaches. You’ll also find lots of little restaurants, food trucks for very affordable meals, and a small supermarket in the village center. There’s a large shopping mall just 5 km away.
