I can’t help you out since we didn’t take that route—we came from San Lucas Tolimán, by Lake Atitlán instead.

hi there, you should definitely visit Lake Atitlán nearby—it’s absolutely stunning.
Otherwise, from what I remember, the road between the capital and Antigua is decent, so getting to Chichi shouldn’t be a problem.
