France-Switzerland Trip via the Arve Valley, Rhône Valley, and Lake Geneva

Cbandiera · 2024-11-12

End-of-season ride this autumn 2024! Claudio will head up the Arve Valley from Geneva to Chamonix via Annemasse, Cluses, Sallanches, and Argentière, then make his way to Martigny, Switzerland, through Finhaut, and return via the Rhône Valley and the ViaRhôna: St-Gingolph, Evian, Thonon, and back to Geneva.

thanks - -- claudio did the trip as planned nice weather but cold no snow in sight Finhzut station .. gorgeous indeed even if tough

285 km in 3 days

the hardest part? the sun in our faces when arriving in Geneva.

freezing cold in Chamonix but no snow : except a little in the fields in the shade at the Col des Montets where it was really nice brilliant sunshine everywhere except near Martigny in the stratus clouds and icy wind legs weren’t cold (thanks to the long bib tights) but hands were freezing, gloves .. were crap not cold though, considering I had 4 layers

gorgeous trip

story coming soon
