15-Day Road Trip in the American West

Hi there, Do you have any tips for a 15-day road trip in the American West in 2025? We’ll be on the ground for about 15 days with a small to medium-sized group. Thanks! Also, thanks to the site for getting back up and running.

You won’t find people here recommending organized tours. Most of the folks on this forum plan their own itineraries. And that’s what I’d suggest for you, too, by the way.

You can easily rent a car, book a flight, and reserve hotels.

If it’s your first trip, you could do a classic loop like this:

1 - Arrival in Los Angeles 2 - Los Angeles 3 - Los Angeles to Las Vegas 4 - Las Vegas to Valley of Fire to St. George 5 - Zion 6 - Bryce Canyon 7 - Bryce Canyon to Lake Powell 8 - Lake Powell 9 - Monument Valley 10 - Grand Canyon 11 - Grand Canyon to Route 66 to Las Vegas 12 - Las Vegas to Death Valley 13 - Death Valley to Los Angeles 14 - Return

You could even arrive in Los Angeles and depart from Las Vegas. I included Los Angeles because flight and car rental prices are usually the best for that city. Anyway, it’s pretty easy to plan. I’d be happy to help if you’d like.
