Booking accommodations in advance in Patagonia

Hi there, We’re heading to Argentina and Chile in February 2025. I’d love to know if it’s recommended to book accommodations (hotels, guesthouses, etc.) in advance, especially in Patagonia? Thanks for your tips!

I don’t know about Argentina, but for Chile, it shouldn’t be a problem. I used to book my accommodations 2-3 days in advance and always found availability. The only exception is Torres del Paine—there, I’d recommend booking well ahead of time since accommodations are limited. This was in February–March 2017.

Thanks for your reply. I do think that in some parts of Patagonia, you’ll need to plan a few days ahead.
