Trip to Egypt during the end of Ramadan

Hi, I was planning a trip to Hurghada at the end of March, but it's the end of Ramadan. Some people are telling me I should avoid it. What do you think? Thanks

Personally, I avoid Ramadan periods for several reasons: - countries slow down, nothing happens during the day, and if you ask for something, they’ll tell you: "Yes, but it's Ramadan." It’s a bit like during Christmas holidays back home, where it takes three times longer to get a response from administration, banks, or anything else under the pretext that it’s the holidays. Well, it’s their Christmas (but it lasts a month).

- service can be really complicated. I smoke, and it was impossible for me to find a pack of cigarettes—one shop even refused to sell me any, telling me it was Ramadan. As a good little blonde with fair skin, in shorts and a T-shirt, I still don’t get how he didn’t realize I was a tourist... anyway, I never managed to find cigarettes. Just one example, but it pretty much sums up the general vibe of the country...

If you can avoid that period, I’d do it without hesitation!
