From Dubai to Paris by camper van

Hi, I’m planning to pick up a camper van in Dubai and drive it back to France... is this even possible? What’s the best route? What are the main challenges? Are there secure parking areas along the way? Is diesel fuel available for the whole trip? ... So many questions... Thanks for your help! See you soon!

Hi there, we're thinking of heading to Dubai from Toulouse in mid-December 2025 and then making our way back to France in early January. I’ve seen that the best route seems to go through Iraq, but after buying a vehicle there, I’m not sure it’s worth it given all the administrative steps and European homologation requirements.

No difficulties, even in Iraq or Iran. Secure parking isn’t necessary everywhere. The UAE->Iran ferry route might be a better option.
