Visa (e-arrival) for Cambodia

Tialou · 2024-12-23

Hi, we're heading to Cambodia. We have the e-arrival visa, which was introduced last September and needs to be done only 7 days before departure. I'd like to know if we can complete the declaration online instead of on the phone, which would require printing the declaration. Thanks for your reply. Best regards

hi there, as I mentioned in my post about practical info, for the e-arrival, https://www.arrival.gov.kh/, you can apply online or via an app that gives you a QR code. Apparently, tablets will be available on arrival for those who might have forgotten to do this. All of this is supposed to be mandatory from January 1st—before that, it was just a test phase, not mandatory, and was supposed to start in September.

Good evening, thanks for your quick reply. I’ll do it online and print it out since I’m not sure if I’ll be able to use the app with my phone. This will be the 11th time we’re going to visit our protégées in Cambodia, and it was hell on arrival with endless queues! Thanks so much. Martial

The e-arrival fee is in addition to the visa. Just replace the forms you filled out on the plane. For the visa on arrival, I’ve never waited very long—just the time it takes for the luggage to arrive.

Yes, there are indeed tablets available at the airports and staff to help fill out the e-arrival card on those tablets. It's been well-established for 4 months now and is quick (especially since many travelers prefer to fill it out online before departure).

things are still changing—the tourist e-visa will go up to $30 and will be linked to the e-arrival process starting January 1st.

Yes, good news 🙂, the e-visa processing fees will no longer be charged starting January 1st, so the price goes back to the same as visas on arrival. $30 instead of $36 up until now for the Tourist e-visa $35 instead of $42 for the ordinary e-visa (E visa, often called business visa).
