7-seater car rental (4 adults and 3 kids)

I’m looking for advice on a road trip in the United States. I need a 7-seater vehicle with enough space for 4 checked bags (25 kg each) and a few smaller pieces of luggage. Do you have any recommendations? I’m a bit unsure about whether there’ll be enough room for the bags. Thanks so much

7 people will be tough even in a Suburban, in my opinion.

You’ll probably need to consider either a Ford Expedition Max or Jeep Wagoneer L, which are rented for 8 people and just as much luggage. Watch out for the "Max" or "L" distinction—it’s important, because a regular Ford Expedition or Jeep Wagoneer will be too small.

Alternatively, you could rent a 15-passenger van.

These vehicles are usually available through Alamo. If you’re not planning to go off-road, you might lean toward the van for more comfort.
