Which currency should we bring to Argentina?

Hi everyone! My partner and I are heading to Argentina for a 3-week trip at the end of January, and we’d love to know which of these options is best: - Exchanging euros to pesos directly once we’re there - Exchanging euros to USD here in France and bringing the USD to swap for pesos as soon as we arrive in Argentina, since we’ve seen a lot of advice about bringing USD.

Another question: how much cash should we bring for 3 weeks in Argentina?

Hi there, it's tough to answer this question because one way or another, you'll lose out on the exchange rate. If you use your credit card to pay for purchases in pesos while you're there, just watch out for the bank fees—they’ll take a nice cut. At a push, I’d ideally recommend bringing dollars since the Argentine peso is, once again, a pretty volatile currency.

I was supposed to go to Argentina the year of Covid. I ended up deciding on Western Union (transferring money to myself bit by bit) + euros to exchange once there.
