Flight ticket prices for Christmas holidays to Guadeloupe

Philfog · 2025-01-06

Hi, We’d like to travel to Guadeloupe as a family (5 adults) for Christmas 2025. We’re leaving on the first Saturday of the school holidays and returning on January 1st—we can’t leave outside of the holiday period. Could you give me a rough idea of what a reasonable price is for that time? Is booking as soon as reservations open a good deal, or should we wait? Thanks for your help. Isabelle

Hi there, this is the busiest time of the year and therefore the most expensive for this destination, with way too much demand for the limited seats available during this short period. Currently, it's 1220 € per person with 1 checked bag, 1000 € without, with Air Caraïbes, which is the cheapest option right now. The more the planes fill up, the more prices will rise—if you really want to go at these dates, you should book. I don’t expect prices to drop for these dates. Plus, the solidarity tax increase is back on the table with the new government for 2025, but for now, if you buy the tickets, you won’t be affected. 😉

Thanks Patrick. We usually travel to other destinations: Canada, the Canary Islands... Often, prices drop between 8 and 6 months before the trip. I was wondering if the same happens for flights to Guadeloupe. We’re well aware it’s the most in-demand period, but we’re still hoping to find a better deal! Have a great day, Isabelle

It’s true that it hurts to pay so much when at other times it hovers around 550/600 €. Good luck. 😉
