Family trip to Djerba (Tunisia)

Hi fellow travelers,

We’d love to explore Djerba with our kids (ages 6 to 14) during the Carnival holidays. I read this amazing travel journal --> https://voyageforum.com/forum/djerba-loin-plages-d8207655/ and it really got us excited.

We’re wondering what’s kid-friendly there? We’d like to stay at a hotel in Djerba and plan a few day trips.

Hi there! The crocodile park is an absolute must-see—it’s really interesting. For outings, Ksar Ghilane and the desert oasis are stunning, especially the quad biking over the dunes.

Yes, there's the "Crocodile Farm" which is worth a visit of about 2 hours. Also in this park, there are tortoises whose feeding time is interesting. Djerba is great for both adults and kids. Plan for a good half-day to stroll around Erriad after visiting the synagogue. The paintings are everywhere in the village, and there are charming little streets, nice squares, and a few lovely shops. Wishing you a wonderful stay in Djerba.

Still, there are no wild crocs in Tunisia. From what I know, there are Nile crocodiles in southern Egypt.

Of course, it's just like in France! There are no crocodiles in the wild, but that doesn’t stop you from seeing them in parks. Like lions, elephants, or giraffes! 😊
