Organizing MSC Virtuosa cruise stopovers

Cruise on the MSC Virtuosa with stopovers in Pointe-à-Pitre, Antigua, St Kitts, Philipsburg, and Tortola from March 8 to 15, 2025. Is it better to book MSC’s excursions, or are there easy ways to explore on our own in some ports?

Taking excursions with the cruise line is a guarantee that if there’s a problem, the ship will wait for you or MSC will arrange everything to get you to the next port (traffic on the road, flat tire, or whatever).

I also have another company that guarantees a return to the port (or transportation if there’s an issue), but they don’t operate (yet) in this destination.

Finally, you can also explore on your own or just grab a taxi when you arrive. Overall, I always recommend checking out the excursions offered by the cruise line and GetYourGuide, and if one really stands out, go for it—it’s the guarantee that everything’s well organized without wasting time ;)

Hi there, On Sunday in Pointe-à-Pitre, where everything is closed. Even though this situation might change soon. In the meantime, you can opt for an excursion to the Valombreuse botanical garden, the Carbet waterfalls, or the fishing village of Sainte-Anne and its seaside promenade. Mich74
