5 days in Madagascar: Diego Suarez & Ankarana or Morondava to Anakao?

If you had 5 days available in your road trip on this gorgeous island, which would you choose between the two options below and why? 1/ Diego Suarez with a visit to Ankarana, the "Montagne des Français", the Three Bays, the Emerald Sea, etc. Or 2/ a trio starting from Morondava all the way to Anakao, passing through Belo sur Mer, Manja, Salary, and Anakao. The answer is simple: 5 days for Morondava to Anakao isn’t enough! You’d need at least double that, unless you want to do a non-stop 4x4 rally. I don’t think that’s the goal here. For Diego, it’s doable, though a bit tight. The road to Ankarana is really bad—under constant construction and exhausting. Along the way, the Red Tsingy are worth the detour.
