I’ve got two books by Jérémie Villet. I really admire what he does, even if I think he’s a bit crazy—going to extremes to get THE shot. Not sure if you’ve seen the documentary he made, but it was amazing.

Absolutely Kate, though Jérémie Villet almost never post-processes his photos. He mainly uses overexposure and relies on the surrounding elements (the snow).

The snowy vacation already feels a little distant... Well, just 15 days ago...

At first, I thought about a snow-only topic, but I found it too restrictive—not open enough for everyone.

Many countries would’ve been immediately ruled out, along with fans of warm weather...

So I kept the snow theme but opened it up to anything white.

About Jérémie Villet, I also saw the documentary. His photos are absolutely mesmerizing! But how many hours of waiting behind them—and in what conditions! I especially love when the animal is white too.

Hello Agnès, Yes, he mostly goes in extreme conditions... when everything is white and icy.

For white animals, you should also head to cold countries 🤪, polar bears, Arctic hares, Arctic foxes with their winter coats... those animals aren’t for me 🙁

For clouds, it's the rest of the sky that enhances the white or gray. So, more like blue.

Statues and other sculptures rarely stay white because of pollution and pigeons.

I looked at my photos of Icelandic icebergs. Too blue... Glaciers are often gray.

Well, as someone who hates the cold and loves vibrant colors, I’m really out of luck this month, Agnès 😅. I’ll be hunting for that rare gem, but I doubt I’ll find anything decent. Though I’m even thinking of a "Treasure Hunt" through all my old photos 😄

My Taj Mahal is yellowed by the rising sun, but I really love the framing of yours.

I’ll always remember the thousand shades of color in that mausoleum, the thousand lights reflecting off it.
