Which Greek island for a family budget of 3000 €?

I’m planning a family trip to Greece in July for 7/8 days. There are two adults and I have three daughters aged 12, 4, and 2. 1. Which islands would you recommend for a total budget of 3000 €? For activities, we’re looking for beaches, short walks, and other kid-friendly options. 2. Is it better to go all-inclusive or book flights, hotels, and meals separately? Thanks

Does the 3000 € budget include flights or not?

All-inclusive hotels aren’t really high quality and don’t let you experience the real country. You’ll get mediocre food and only hang out with other French travelers.

Anyway, there aren’t any all-inclusive hotels on the islands except in Crete.

Personally, I’d rather book a small family-run hotel. If you’re thinking of the Cyclades, check out islands like Sifnos, Milos, or Tinos.

Hi there. I’d recommend Rhodes. You can get around by bus—it’s reasonably priced—or rent a car for a day. Lots of history if that interests you. Beaches are no problem. There are some affordable hotels, though you’ll be traveling during the school term. Ask for a quote or run a simulation to get all your prices quickly, so you can make your choice.

In this case, definitely look into all-inclusive flight + hotel packages, because unfortunately, 3000 € is a tight budget for 5 people—flights have gotten really expensive.

You can get by with public transport. But to visit the south of the island, a car is almost essential.
