Since I'm brand new to the site, I’m still learning its ins and outs. I’d love to hear from folks who’ve made these trips in a camper van, tackling the winding roads of these islands with a motorcycle on a trailer!

Okay, it's clearer now. I've been to Corsica twice, Sardinia twice, Sicily four times, and maybe around ten times to Greece, but always in a camper van without a trailer. Apart from the issues with turning back and parking, I don't see what drastically changes with a trailer. But maybe you should specify the routes you're considering. Cheers,

Thanks Marie Paule—so all these routes are very accessible with a 7m camper van (trailer aside).

We have a 6.99 m camper van and honestly, we’ve never had any size issues, even on the Cyclades islands (Amorgos, Naxos, Santorini, and Milos). Still, it’s best to have a GPS where you can input your vehicle’s dimensions—because, for example, in Sicily, lots of bridges under railway tracks are too low, and you’ll need to find an alternate route. It’s up to you with the trailer, but many motorhome travelers are in the same boat with a trailer and don’t seem to be bothered by it.

Hello, That’s a lot and it makes the trip pretty expensive, unless you go for a long time. To get a good feel for these islands and Greece: - A good ten trips of a month or more for Greece, including a few islands like Santorini, Kythira, and Crete, of course. - Sardinia: about a month. And I didn’t really explore the west coast because I had to come back earlier than planned. - Sicily: you’ll need about a month, plus time to go down and back up. - Corsica: two trips of about a month each is reasonable; three would probably be better. Hi there, thanks for your advice! Time won’t be an issue since I’ve decided to leave for a year with my camping car. What’s certain is that I’ll be visiting Sardinia, Sicily, and Greece—one month in each. Then, in winter, I’ll head to southern Morocco, followed by Spain and Portugal in the spring, and France with family in the summer. Have a great day!
