Traffic fine in Brazil

I got a traffic fine for an offense in the state of SP, but I don’t remember why…

The receipt says: EST.VEI.NOS ACOST

I have no idea what that means—anyone know?

We got something similar by email the last time we rented a car in the state of Rio back in 2018. I didn’t understand it either. We went home thinking the rental company would let us know about something, but we never heard anything and never paid anything! Hopefully, it’ll be the same for you 😅 Christelle

Definitely cryptic 🤯 In my (humble) opinion, it simply means: ESTacionamento VEÍculo NOS ACOstamento so no parking allowed 😅

I did park pretty randomly, like dozens of others on a Sunday when we couldn’t get into the beach resort because of a sporting event...

It’s a bit cheeky to hand out fines that day, but hey, 92.80 reais isn’t too bad!
