Buying a bike and formalities for a Turkey-to-Vietnam motorcycle road trip

I’d like to do a 5-month motorcycle road trip from Turkey to Vietnam. To do this, I’d like to buy a used bike locally. Do you know what steps are involved (especially the administrative ones for insurance, registration, etc.)? Are they quick? And do you know any reliable places to buy a used motorcycle?

If you enter Turkey without a vehicle and leave with one, it’s gonna be complicated (the vehicle is noted on your passport, and they’ll likely require paperwork to justify leaving with a vehicle: bill of sale, insurance, etc.). For crossing borders (outside Turkey), you’ll probably need a carnet de passage. It’s "easier" to leave from your home country with your vehicle (and a CPD if you’re passing through Iran and the "stans").
