we’ve got a 1.5-hour layover in Paris—we’re arriving by TGV and then catching an Air France flight to MONTREAL

we’d like to know if 1h30 is enough time to exit the TGV station and get to check-in for our flight

Hi Evelyne,

Do you have a TGV Air ticket, which combines train and flight in a single ticket? One more question: where is your TGV coming from?

The TGV station is inside the airport, and you don’t really need to exit—just go up some stairs. But if it’s not a TGV Air ticket, 90 minutes seems risky to me.

Our TGV arrives from STRASBOURG. This isn’t the first time we’ve done TRAIN + Air, but we’ve always had at least 2 hours for the layover. If there’s the slightest delay or a big crowd at check-in, we’re screwed. Thanks for your replies

Hey, It's not clear if you have a TGV Air ticket—that is, a Strasbourg-Montreal ticket booked IN FULL through the Air France website. If so, no problem because the transfer from the TGV to the plane is considered a connection, so if your TGV is delayed, Air France will rebook you on another flight (depending on the time of your flight, there might be a later Air France flight, or you might go through Amsterdam).

If you have two separate tickets, it’s gonna be pretty tight (I hope in that case you don’t have checked luggage, since check-in closes 1 hour before the flight).

Hey, Less stress for the transfer at Roissy, but if you’ve got checked luggage, it’s best to plan ahead and be right by the TGV door when it pulls into Roissy station. When’s your trip planned for?
