Yeah, I gave up on Emirates a long time ago. I get that the request is for a direct flight, but when you want a direct flight from CDG, you don’t really look at the price. 😉

Thai Airways: CDG: 1:40 PM - BKK: 5:55 AM BKK: 12:05 AM - CDG: 7:10 AM

Air France: CDG: 3:45 PM – BKK: 9:15 AM BKK: 11:30 AM - CDG: 6:50 PM

For Thai Airways, the return flight is at 12:05 AM, so it’s actually the next day, even if you arrive at the airport at 9:00 PM. Some travelers have gotten mixed up with this schedule.

For Air France, the flight is at 11:30 AM, so it’s a daytime flight—still pretty long, though. A few years ago, the return flight was at 11:00 PM, almost the same as Thai Airways’ schedule.

On Wednesdays and Saturdays, Air Calin also operates a direct flight.

Personally, I live in Paris, so I can’t really see myself leaving from somewhere else.

From CDG, pretty much all airlines are available, as are the prices. I regularly check reviews on business class for flights to Bangkok—some of them are pretty wild.

Here are my preferences (based on experience, no particular order):

It’s psychological 🙂. Anyway, to leave from Paris, I have to travel 550 km, so if you don’t have to go that far, you’ve got plenty of airports to choose from. Especially since from Paris, there are super cheap low-cost flights to lots of hubs—way cheaper than a simple TGV ticket from Brittany to Montparnasse. It’s been several years since I’ve flown out of Paris much; no matter the cost, I prefer to use airports that are more commercially attractive. I personally feel like I’m doing a good deed—it’s probably a bit silly, but that’s just how it is.
