Trip to Thailand: renting accommodation

Hi everyone, We’re planning a trip to Thailand and we’d like to go for rental accommodation. Is it easy to find, and is there a way to access offers from France? Thanks

Most people opt for hotels, and Airbnbs are technically banned. It’s pretty tricky to find accommodation remotely—most agents you contact will suggest meeting up once you’re there. That’s because once a place is rented, they don’t take it off their website, so you can’t tell what’s actually available. Also, keep in mind that the listings can change daily, and they’d rather rent to someone who shows up in person than someone who *might* come.

Hi, so it's not for right away. Early 2026. I'd like to stay around Bangkok. We'll rent a two-wheeler afterward for outings.

Make sure to get a two-wheel vehicle license and take out insurance that will cover everything.
