Looking for great tips for a 3-day stay in Barcelona

Hi everyone! This is my first time in Spain, and I don’t know it at all. I’m heading to Barcelona for 3 days, but I don’t have any specific plans yet. I’ve heard it can be quite expensive, so I’d love to get some tips on how not to break the bank during these 3 days! 😊

Hi there,

Yes, Barcelona is expensive, and over 3 days there’s quite a bit to do and see. For accommodation, here are some great options based on the neighborhood you choose. We really love the Gothic Quarter, but it’s pretty pricey to stay there. For sightseeing, you’ll find itinerary ideas and must-see spots on this page.

Hi there,

What exact dates will your trip be on?

For example, for great tips, the grand Museum of Catalan Art is free on Saturdays from 3 PM, and lots of museums are free on Sunday afternoons.

Otherwise, if you plan to visit at least two Gaudí sites, I recommend a combo pass or ticket. It’s already expensive, but it’ll cut the cost a bit.

Palau Güell, by Gaudí, is the cheapest at 12 €.

I was in Barcelona at the end of January, for the 4th time. Here are a few visit ideas: https://www.lasourisglobe-trotteuse.fr/barcelone-en-3-jours/

For eating out, you can use The Fork app to get discounts, but it rarely works if you’re alone. After that, if you avoid La Rambla, there are plenty of tapas bars at good prices.

To see the main tourist spots, the hop-on hop-off tourist bus is pretty good. You can get on and off as you like. It helps save on transport and gives you discounts on entry fees. When it comes to food, there’s something for every budget. Here are 10 restaurants among the best restaurants in Barcelona.

If you need more guidance, don’t hesitate to ask.

Have a great trip!
