Driver in Madagascar for RN 7

Hi there, Could you recommend any reputable local agencies for a driver with a vehicle to travel along the RN7 from Tana to Tulear with stops? Or alternatively, a driver you’ve personally "hired" for your trip? Thanks! Xavier

We live in Madagascar and met Rivo (while traveling with tourists) on some trails in the southwest coast. We became friends. He’s super nice, speaks French really well, and knows his country inside out. He travels the RN 7 very often.

Hi, I’ve done this trip several times and will do it again in October. Always the same driver. He stops wherever you want, but it’s always safe—he doesn’t drive at night. In November–December 2024, I’ll be doing a 45-day trip with him through the north and the islands.

Hi there, Working in international solidarity in Madagascar, I used the services of a local agency in Fianar for family trips. We traveled to the south and southwest: Manakara, Fianarantsoa, Ambalavao, Tsaranoro, Isalo, Ifaty, Salary, Andavadaoka, and several times for transfers from Tana to Manakara for visa matters. And very recently, a 4x4 to Morondava from Antsirabe. We paid 50 € for the 4x4s, whether it was a minibus Starex 4x4 or a Land Cruiser for the southwest tracks. Hi there, Just FYI, I had recommended SudMadaTrek to a forum member who contacted them, and they quoted 80 € per day for a 4x4. Too bad, because in the end, the forum member went with someone else.
