Road between Alemdoun and Dadès now accessible

February 2025: A new fully paved road (just a few kilometers missing near Tisguine n'Aït M'Rao) from Alemdoun to the Dadès. Gorgeous pass.

I drove through there in February. Gorgeous landscapes. It's the middle of nowhere.

Uh... A bit exaggerated, isn’t it? The climb to the pass from the Dadès doesn’t show any scenery since it follows the riverbed...

Nothing like the Ouano loop via Agoudal. It’s not a tourist route but a quick, short access between the two valleys.

Okay, thanks for the clarification! Have several of you driven this route by car, and since when? For me, it’s a bit of a "bad memory"—back in January or February 2014, after Tilmi and almost up to the pass, there was a single-lane section. Of course, that’s where I ended up crossing paths with two vehicles. None between Msemsir or after the pass until Agoudal. Both crossings took a while—way longer than expected! And with the ravine, it wasn’t exactly a fun moment! Maybe it’d be better in a "gyrocopter"???

The entire road between M'semrir and Agoudal is paved. Gorgeous.

I ended up there "by chance" at the end of April 25—the usual track linking Dadès and Mgoun (Aït Youl-Bou Taghrar) had become impassable after the rains. What a sight—something I’d never seen in this region: a hillside covered in blooming asphodels. As Victor once said: A fresh scent rose from the clumps of asphodel; The night breezes drifted over Galgala.
