Visiting Mudumalai Reserve: practical info and online booking?

Hi everyone, I’m in Masinagudi. I’d love to visit the Mudumalai Reserve. I’ve got conflicting info. My guidebook (Lonely Planet) says you can buy tickets on the spot, but apparently it’s online-only now—and no availability… Any useful tips? Thanks! :)
