Car rental in Yogyakarta

Hi everyone,

This summer, I’m spending 5 days in Yogyakarta, and I’d like to rent a car on my own, but I can’t find anything... (just to clarify, I’ve already driven on every continent, including Bali, so that’s not an issue for me).

Do you have any reliable contacts? I don’t want a taxi or driver—I want the freedom to explore on my own...

Not sure you’ll get many responses from folks who’ve rented a self-drive car in Java.

For less common destinations, I check which rental companies the comparison sites list. I also look on Google Maps and read the reviews.

Apparently, this company shows up on Kayak. Avis too.

Java felt a bit more rock ‘n’ roll than Bali. It’s a particularly crowded island...
