Weather in Northern Vietnam in October

I’d love some packing tips for Northern Vietnam in early October. I’ll be spending 2 days in Hanoi alone and was hoping to find another woman traveling solo in the city so we could explore together. Maryvonne Sanchez

The weather is generally good in October—little rain, pleasant temperatures, and no winter fog in Hanoi or cold in the mountains yet. Fewer typhoons too... unless they're running late! 😜 Rain is more common in central Vietnam then.
