Cruise Stop in Venice with Celestyal Journey

PJR · 2025-05-01

Hello, we're going on a cruise in August with the Celestyal Journey. During this cruise, we have a one-day stop in Venice. We arrive at Marghera, the new port. Does anyone know how to get to the center of Venice from Marghera, and if anyone has taken this boat before, do they provide shuttles to get there? Thanks for your tips. Best regards

hi, if needed you’ll have to get to Mestre station and take a train—there’s one every 10 minutes. The trip to Venice takes about 10 minutes from Mestre. Otherwise, there’s a stop at Porto Marghera and the train stops there if I remember correctly. Check the Trenitalia website. But there are definitely shuttles available. Also check if there are vaporettos.

Hi, thanks for your feedback. We’ll figure out the shuttles when we get there. Have a great day

Good evening, just a heads-up: when they say "shuttle," it might mean a paid service. And it’s definitely more expensive than local transportation. That’s how cruise lines make their profit.

Hi, How was this cruise? I’m in the process of booking a 2-week cruise in early November. I see that the drink package is no longer available. Did you keep the drink card? Or do you have any idea of the prices? An espresso, a Coke? Other than that, good memories? Thanks

Hi there, I see you’ve taken a cruise on the Celestyal Journey.

We’re heading out as a family this summer for 2 weeks. Mind if I ask you a few questions about how to organize it?

Thanks in advance!
