Thailand TDAC

Hi there, hope you're doing well! :) I’m leaving from Bordeaux for Thailand this Tuesday and should land on Wednesday. I wanted to ask about the TDAC—I don’t quite get it: Do you have to do it a maximum of 3 days before departure or 3 days before arrival? How long does it take to get the document, and what form does it come in? I’m worried about messing this up—if you were arriving on Wednesday, when would you fill it out? Thanks for your feedback!

Hi there,

Normally, it's 3 days before arrival in Thailand. At the end of the process, you’ll get a QR code to present upon arrival—make a paper copy just in case... If the videos below are super detailed (in English), they answer pretty much all the questions you might have when filling out the TDAC. https://youtu.be/1egildlfVmo?feature=shared https://youtu.be/EWI5axmt4zU?feature=shared https://youtu.be/EWI5axmt4zU?feature=shared Happy watching! !

Hi there

I can’t find a clear answer about how long it’s valid for. What should we do if we need to leave Thailand (heading to Cambodia/Laos) and then re-enter three weeks later to catch our return flight? Do we need to get another TDAC? Thanks! !

Hi,

The answer is in the 2nd video.

Hi there, The QR code is only valid for one entry within 3 days of being issued. You’ll need to generate a new one for each entry.

So if I do it Monday to be there Wednesday, that works?

Yeah, no problem. At the beginning of the month, I did it on a Friday afternoon for an arrival on Monday morning.

Hi there

For those with a flight on Emirates

CDG/DUBAI/BKK

Which departure airport should be listed in the DTAC?

DUBAI or CDG?

Thanks

Hi there,

I also had a connecting flight. I put CDG as the departure airport and entered both flight numbers in the flight number box. No issues when I arrived in BKK.

Thailand TDAC Digital Check

Aroythai · 2025-06-06

Hi there, Is it possible that some airlines might ask passengers traveling to Thailand to show they’ve completed the TDAC digital form?

I’ve heard that Air France might be checking this.

If anyone has been to Thailand since early May 2025, could you share your experience?

Thanks

Hi, I’ve been in Thailand for a week now, Except at immigration for a layover in Bangkok (I’m in Phuket). I wasn’t asked for it at any point by KLM.

Hi there,

I wasn’t asked anything with Vietnam Airlines. I don’t think there’s a risk of being denied boarding since you can do it on arrival.

Hi

Yeah, I’d read that, but it’s kind of a hassle to do it on the spot

Hi, On May 19th, we flew from Da Nang to Bangkok with Vietnam Airlines. At check-in, they asked us if we had applied for entry, but they didn’t ask to see the QR code. When we arrived in BKK, the agent took my passport, typed something into their computer, and stamped my entry directly without checking the QR code. No fingerprint scans, no photo, and for departure, it was an automatic kiosk.
