Travel companion for a road trip in Africa

Hi there, well, I’d like to embark on a big trip to West Africa—visit Cape Verde, then head down to São Tomé and South Africa, Kenya, and especially spend 3 months in Madagascar. I’d like to buy a used Toyota from Kenya. That’s the big picture—I don’t want to post about it on social media. My dates are late November, for a year, on a shoestring budget, and I want to meet people. Too selfish in Western countries. I’m open to any discussion. Planning to go in a van/truck.
