Which other island to visit with Luzon and Bohol?

Hi there, I’m planning a trip to the Philippines in January or February 2026. On top of visiting Luzon, I’m thinking of going to one or two other islands, but I’m hesitating—which one(s)? I’d like to do some snorkeling, enjoy a beautiful beach, and explore the interior of Bohol. Which island(s) can you recommend? Thanks in advance for your help! ceinture

I think all the islands in the Philippines have already been done... More seriously, it's hard to give advice because you don't mention how many days you have to visit an additional island, or if you want to stay in the same archipelago. Personally, I really enjoyed Camiguin—it's quite different from Bohol and less crowded. You should plan for at least 4 days there. Bantayan, north of Cebu and reachable by ferry, is a small, flat island with lovely beaches. Two days is enough. I don’t know Siquijor. I would’ve liked to go there. Palawan remains the most spectacular island, in my opinion, especially the north, but it’s very touristy, just like Bohol. I much preferred the east of Bohol, around Anda, to the west, which I found overrated.

Bantayan, given the time it takes for the round trip, 2 days isn’t worth it. Bantayan is an island for relaxing and unwinding at the end of your trip—ideally a little week if possible.
