Hotel recommendations near the cruise port in Istanbul

Hi there,

Do you have a hotel near the cruise port (or easy to reach by metro with luggage) to recommend? I’m planning to spend two days there before boarding.

Take a taxi to the port with your luggage. There's a hotel right across from the port, then get around using tram line 1 and others during your 2-day stay...

So, as planned, I boarded in Istanbul at the new Galata port.

I booked two nights at the Mandala Hotel Karaköy. 130 € for two nights in a 20 m² luxury room. The hotel is brand new, very clean, and very quiet even though it's located in a lively neighborhood with lots of restaurants. Getting to the port is easy on foot. The terminal entrance isn't well signposted, but I'd read on the forum that it was near the Mustapha Café (thanks to whoever shared that tip!) It takes about ten minutes to walk from the hotel to the MSC reception.
