China Visa Exemption for 2026

for China, the 30-day visa exemption is valid until the end of December 2025. What if I want to leave in January 2026?

We’ll have to wait until early October to see if China announces whether they’re extending the visa exemption or not.

But there’s a good chance it’ll be prolonged (just my take!)

Any ideas now? The embassy website is confusing. On top of that, the visa office has moved to Neuilly in a cramped location.

There haven’t been any official communications from China about this yet. I just saw that they’re planning to add Sweden to the list of visa-exempt countries. So I’m assuming they’ll extend the visa exemption for the other countries too.
