Visa application at the French consulate in Egypt

Hi there,

I need some help—I’d like to bring an Egyptian friend to France, but booking an appointment for the visa on the TLS site is impossible! Visa applications usually go through the TLScontact center, which is authorized by the French Consulate General in Cairo. You’re supposed to book an appointment via their platform, but I’ve been trying for weeks with no luck. Still no available slots!! GETTING AN APPOINTMENT ON THE TLS SITE IS MISSION IMPOSSIBLE! What can I do? Do you have any other suggestions, please?

Here, we have to fill out a form explaining the purpose of the visit, your background, and the personal details of your "friend." Once the form is properly completed, it’s sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which then forwards it to the Cairo embassy. They handle the necessary checks and procedures—if your friend, for example, has a criminal record, there’s a good chance they won’t get the visa. No, for a Belgian visa, the Egyptian citizen must go through TLS CONTACT at the Belgian Embassy in Cairo to submit a visit visa application. The Belgian person will need to apply at their local municipality for a sponsorship letter, and the Egyptian citizen must provide the invitation letter link and source.

Not exactly the same—you’re not talking about TLScontact at the BELGIAN EMBASSY IN EGYPT. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Belgium does nothing; it’s the Office of Foreigners in Belgium that processes visa applications, which are first sent via intranet and then by diplomatic pouch in paper form. They handle everything from A to Z.

Hi there, Thanks for your reply. Yes, I’ve already gone through the process with our town hall, which gave me an accommodation certificate valid for 3 months. But now it’s up to him to apply at the embassy to get an appointment via TLS. As I mentioned, it’s really tough to get an appointment. I was wondering if there are any agencies in Egypt that could take over—do you think they’d have a better chance of securing these appointments since they’re on the ground? Thanks
