Calling France to a mobile without internet

Hi, I’m heading to Thailand for three weeks and I’ll need to call someone in France every day who doesn’t have internet access, so I can’t use WhatsApp. I have an unlocked iPhone 12. What do you recommend for making calls without internet? Thanks

Alternatively, you can buy a SIM card (there are 3 networks in Thailand) with credit that you can top up as you go. To call your contact from Thailand, dial: 009 33 followed by your contact’s number without the 0. Example: number to call 0142731720 You dial 009 33 142731720 Don’t forget the time difference in summer: +5 hours. 2 PM in France is 7 PM in Thailand.
