Off-the-beaten-path spots near Izmir?

Hi there, I’m heading to Turkey soon for a solid month. I was thinking of exploring the Aegean coast, but I’m a bit worried about crowds… even though it’ll be mid-September. Any hidden gems or favorite spots you’d recommend? Quiet beaches, maybe? Thanks for your tips! Patricia

Are you spending a full month just in the Aegean region, or do you want to explore other areas too? Because yeah, you’ll find crowds there. In mid-August, we had to give up on several beaches because there were traffic jams just to get to them. The culprit? Paid parking lots! !
