Getting to Yamaga for the day from Kumamoto (Kyushu)

Hi there, I’d like to spend the day in Yamaga starting from Kumamoto. I’m wondering how to get there using public transport. I see there’s a train and then a bus, but I can’t find any precise info on the bus schedules for the round trip. I’ve already checked Navitime. Thanks for your help

Hi, there’s a direct bus that connects the center of both cities in about an hour. There’s a departure every hour.
