Is two weeks enough to see Poland?

hi everyone, I’d like to spend two weeks in Poland visiting the most beautiful spots: monuments, landscapes, etc. Do you think two weeks is enough? I’m planning to rent a car and book a room as I go. If anyone’s done this road trip before, I’d love to hear your thoughts and recommendations. Thanks! 🙂

hi there, 2 weeks should be enough, but there’s so much to see in Poland—it’s a country with stunning cities. For Kraków, plan on 3 days. Same for Warsaw (3 days). Same for Gdańsk (3 days), plus 1–2 days for Sopot with its beautiful Baltic beaches. 2 days is enough for Poznań. So as you can see, the schedule fills up fast. Otherwise, the public transport system and train travel in Poland are really efficient. The infrastructure looks brand new.

What season are you thinking of for this? Basically, you’ve got two options: the classic big-city tour or a more peaceful and off-the-beaten-path part of the country—like the Southeast, for example, or the Baltic coast. Saying the trains are punctual and reliable is a joke—especially PKP Intercity, which is often delayed. Rarely on time, to be honest.

hi there! yeah, it's easy to get around by train—I didn’t have any issues on my previous trips. Plus, buying a ticket at the vending machine is super simple. Now it’s up to you to decide if you want to rent a car.

If your plan is to visit a short list of big cities and their tourist sites, you can indeed take the train—it’s quite similar to trains in France, slower but more comfortable and clean. If you're aiming for a more in-depth exploration of a region, a car will be infinitely more practical. For the Baltic coast, from Szczecin to Frombork, nothing beats a car. Same goes for exploring the southeast: Zamość, Przemyśl, Lublin...
