Traveling to Iraqi Kurdistan – is it safe?

Hi everyone, I’m married to a Kurd from Iraq, and we’re heading to Kurdistan in November with our two-and-a-half-year-old son. Even though I’m really excited about this trip and happy to go, I’m a bit nervous because as a European woman, I feel like there’s nothing to do and I have this image of a dangerous country… To put my mind at ease, I’d love to chat with other Europeans who’ve been there. Good evening Rocknrollah. I returned to Iraq on September 24th. I visited the south as far as Basra, then went back to Baghdad to head up to Mosul. I’m currently in Erbil. I never felt unsafe. That said, I do stay cautious. Have a great trip to Iranian Pakistan. Jean-François
