Can you get a 6-month visa for Madagascar?

Hi, is it possible to find out? How can I stay for 3 consecutive months in Madagascar, based on a fixed-date flight ticket? In short, how do I get a visa stamped at the airport??

Does anyone know if there’s maritime transport from the southern tip of Africa to a port in MADAGASCAR?

hi for 6 months, it's impossible to get a visa unless you start an application for permanent residency in Madagascar. For three months, at the airport, I asked again a week ago when I arrived—only two months are possible, plus an extra month you can get at any police station in the major cities to extend it (nowadays, with corruption, it’s up to you to decide). For sea travel, there are no formal passenger lines—you’ll have to negotiate passage on cargo ships at your own risk (this is coming from a former merchant navy captain). It’s also hard to find anything cheaper than flying. cheers, safe travels
